Krys Janae is an Filipino-American Voice-over artist, narrator, musician, and author from central California. She has over three decades in the performing Arts (music, dance, theatre) and has been in voiceover since 2015.
She’s received acclaim for her “easy to listen to” narration, as a versatile perfomer who can portray a wide variety of characters with various accents and vocal styles, and has spanned several genres. She specializes in Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Romance, but is always open to other genres. Krys also has a pseudonym that specializes in Erotica and LGBTQ+ titles.
As of 2025, Krys has worked with several leaders in audio publishing including: Spotify Audio, Podium, Tantor Audio, The Audio Flow, Pink Flamingo Productions, Dreamscape, and John Marshall Media.
Additionally, her voice can be found in video games. Krys was portrayed "Etain" (and additional voices) in the interactive-story driven video game, SACRED FIRE by Poetic Studio alongside Doug Cockle (voice of The Witcher). She played the voice of "Lady Guinevere" in KING ARTHUR: KNIGHT’S TALE by Neocore Games, and most recently "Alexandra", the lead character in HEISTGEIST by Doublequote Studio, which released in November of 2024.
Krys received her first AUDIES nomination in 2025 alongside her castmates for AUDIOBOOK OF THE YEAR, for PLAYGROUND, written by the Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Richard Powers, produced by Spotify Audio. In 2023, she received her first award nomination at the SOVAS for ensemble cast in MISTERIA by Cameo Renae with The Audio Flow. She is a 2024 Nominee for Favorite Narrator and for Fantasy Romance in DISENCHANTED with Zachary Johnson, by Brianna Sugalski which was produced by Elysian Nightfall Studios.
Krys is openly an ally and neurodivergent; she is an advocate for mental health, equal rights and equality through the arts and beyond. She is also very open about her own chronic illnesses. An artist through and through, Krys also writes books, poetry, and music. She is the middle child with two brothers, and is a proud pet-mom of her cats Lucy and Clementine, her dogs Lily and Dylan, and also cares for her stray cats, Maxwell Payne, Samwise and Alphinaud.
